Please remember that reading is one of the most important skills our children will learn. It is vital that children get time and space to practice their reading with an adult at home regularly. Pupils learning to decode should read with an adult every day and those pupils who can read fluently should continue to read at home every day (and should still read with adults!) Our older children have access to Fiction Express, and can select age-appropriate e-texts to read online.
Please ensure your child’s reading is logged in their Reading Record, which should be brought home each night and returned to school each morning.
If you have any questions about reading, please speak with your child’s teacher!
