This week in class

We’ve had a wonderfully busy and creative week in Haughmond class, full of moments that made us proud of how confidently the children are growing.

In PE, the class threw themselves into some brilliant dance work. It was fantastic to see so many children stepping outside their comfort zones, trying new movements, and supporting one another with enthusiasm and courage.

In English, we continued exploring our class texts in greater depth. The children have been developing thoughtful ideas and using them to inspire some truly beautiful messages written for refugees. Their empathy and care shone through in every piece. You’ll find a few examples of their work in the photos shared on the website.

To finish the week, we will be stepping into the world of art, exploring the colour wheel and discovering how artists use colour to express mood and meaning. The children will then take on a focused task using shape and block‑painting techniques to create artwork inspired by Paul Klee. We’re excited to see their creativity shine as they experiment with these new skills.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We’re looking forward to another exciting week of learning and discovery.
