On Friday, Haughmond went for a visit to the Ironworks in Oswestry to learn all about different sculpture as part of our art topic. We found the extinction trail particularly interesting and enjoyed learning facts about all the animals. We discovered that lots of the sculptures had been made from scrap materials, and tried to identify all the parts we could see. We really liked the enormous gorilla made from car parts and were especially impressed by Hulk and the Transformer sculptures. We are going to use our learning to support and inspire our art work back in school.
