Good morning and I hope you had a happy Easter (I got a fantastic Maltesers egg; I was very happy!) I hope you managed to have a little chocolate too…
We will continue using online resources to help you continue to learn and keep busy over the next few weeks. We will be using some of the same resources, but we have also found some new one, which will be interesting.
- Start the Summer Term with Joe Wicks! https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1
- I will be posting Maths each day from White Rose – it seems to be the best resource available as it explains the concepts really well! There is a Year 5 and a Year 6 lesson (SUMMER TERM!) in the link below (click on Lesson 1 only – you will do the rest throughout the week!) https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/ or https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/
- BBC Bitesize are complimenting the White Rose Work and have a daily Maths lesson here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p089ny58/bitesize-911-year-olds-maths-1-lesson-1
- English work will be a poem today. I have been completely inspired by Captain Tom Moore, who has raised over £23 million for the NHS. He is 99 and has been sponsored walking up and down his garden! What a hero! Click here for more info: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-52333127 Write a poem that shows what a wonderful man he is – it could be an acrostic or rhyming….it’s up to you! Please send them into Mrs Winwood, who will pass them on!
Have a fantastic day! The weather will be good too, so remember to get outside (safely) and get some fresh spring air.
Mr F
