We would like to say a big thank you to all of the support we have received during this year from parents and carers at Bomere Heath CE Primary School. We truly appreciate support from home with homework, reading, trips, projects, Friends events and so much more.
We say a fond farewell to Mrs Taylor, who is leaving at the end of the term. She has been a wonderful, positive presence in the school and an excellent member of the team for the last couple of years and we would all like to wish her the very best for the future.
In addition, Mrs Smith, our HLTA and long-serving Teaching Assistant, is also leaving this summer. Mrs Smith has worked at the school for over twenty years and has taught and supported scores of pupils over the years, including parents of a few of our current pupils! She will be dearly missed by all and we hope she enjoys more time to walk her beloved dogs and spending time with family and friends.
We are also saying farewell to our Year 6 pupils who will be moving onto The Corbet Secondary School – we wish the all the best for their futures.
We are pleased that we will have some building projects ongoing during the summer, including a new boiler.
The staff would also like to say thank you to pupils, parents, carers and friends for the kind words, cards and presents they have received this week for their hard work during the year. We very much appreciate your ‘thanks’!
Finally, we hope you have a fantastic summer holidays and enjoy your breaks, trips and relaxing times! We are really looking forward to welcoming Miss Lloyd-Jones (new Year 4/5 Class Teacher) and Mrs Roberts (new Deputy Headteacher and Year 2/3 Class Teacher) to the school. They have already met their new classes and are excited to start teaching at Bomere Heath in September. Remember – we will be opening a new class from September meaning the school will again have 5 classes.
School re-opens to pupils on Tuesday 4th September 2018, whilst teachers and Mrs Winwood will be in school on the 3rd September for a PD Day.
Have a super summer from Bomere Heath CE Primary School.
We would like to give a huge thankyou to the Friends of Bomere Heath School for their organisation of the recent Summer Fair and Cake Sale. Thankyou to everyone for your contributions to both the summer fair, which raised £662, and the cake sale which raised £52.23
The Friends would also like to thank all of those people that kindly donated to the summer fair raffle and contributed on the day including the CO-OP, Battlefield Falconry, Park Hall Countryside Experience, WR Motors, Climbing The Walls – Shrewsbury, Lantern cafe, Albrighton Hall Hotel, Victoria Amrose. There were many other very generous donations and we thank everyone for their contributions.
The Friends are a very small group and would happily welcome ideas and support from any parents, carers, grandparents and friends to help generate even more fund raising for Bomere Heath School. We aim to meet early next term to start planning the events for the next academic year and would hope to see as many people join the Friends as possible. Thank you.

I have lots of items of lost property which have accumulated over the year – particularly sweatshirts. These will be disposed of at the end of term so please come and ask if you have missing clothes, as it will be too late after Friday!
Bomere Heath CE Primary School will break up for the summer holidays on Friday 20th July 2018.
As you will be aware, our wonderful Year 6 pupils will be moving onto their secondary school in September, so we have organised a special Leavers Worship for them.
On Friday 20th July at 2pm, Year 6 pupils’ parents, carers and family are invited to join our celebration of their years at Bomere Heath in the school hall. It usually lasts around an hour and parents will be able to say goodbye to staff and friends too.
Please join us for this happy occasion!
Thank you to all those who attended the wonderful Summer Fair on Saturday!
It was a fantastic occasion, with the sun shining, plenty of fun and games and fantastic treats for all of the family!
We would like to say thank you to the Friends of Bomere Heath School, and in particular Nicky Vaughan, Chair of the Friends, for all of their hard work to organise a lovely event.
Look out for more fund-raising events run by The Friends coming up in the Autumn Term!
Well done to the pupils from a range of our local schools who came along to Bomere Heath this week to compete in the annual Area Sports.
Pupils from Bomere Heath, Kinnerley, St John the Baptist Ruyton, Weston Lullingfields and Bicton schools arrived to take part in races throughout the morning. Each school had many pupils winning events such as egg and spoon, 250m, sprints, the sack race and the amazing relay. Both the boys and girls relay races were won by St John the Baptist at Ruyton, so they walked way with the Relay Shields.
We would like to thank all competitors and their teachers for attending and look forward to next year’s Area Sports Day!
