What a Week in Haughmond Class!
Hello everyone! We have had an incredibly busy and productive week. The children have been working exceptionally hard across all lessons, and it’s been wonderful to see their progress.
Here is a little update on what we’ve been up to:
Super Spellings
A huge well done to the children for their spelling practice this week! All that hard work at home and in school has truly paid off, and we saw some fantastic results in our recent checks. Keep it up!
⏰ Maths: Telling the Time
In Maths, we have been tackling the tricky concept of time. It can be a bit of a brain-teaser, but the children are “slowly but surely” getting the hang of it. We are very proud of their persistence with this important life skill.
Science: Spring Investigations
We are already looking ahead to the summer term! This week, we planned an exciting investigation involving planting bulbs. The children have been making predictions about whether they will grow better indoors or outdoors. We can’t wait to see the results later in the year!
Topic: Weather Reporters
Haughmond Class turned into a newsroom this week! The children became weather reporters, comparing the climates of Llandudno and Bomere Heath. We saw some truly brilliant presentations—well done to all our budding broadcasters!
Art: LS Lowry Inspiration
Tomorrow, we will be starting our final art pieces. We are very excited to begin drawing Shrewsbury in the iconic industrial style of L.S. Lowry. We’re looking forward to seeing some “matchstick men” appearing in our local landmarks!
Thank you for your continued support!
