We have received some very useful leaflets from BEAM, who are operated by The Children’s Society and offer young people the chance to talk with a practitioner about managing their feelings.
We urge you to read the leaflets, as they include helpful ideas about talking to your child about coronavirus and managing transitions.
This week’s challenge is Dodgeball. Please click here. You will find how to enter, what to do and how to adapt the challenge to make it harder!
Remember, #VirtualSTWSchoolGames is open to all primary school age children – simply send the videos of your challenge attempt to schoolgames@energizestw.org.uk
Please remember that each entry requires parental permission.
Every year, pupils from across Shropshire, including Bomere Heath, attend the School Games, where they compete in a range of sports and challenges.

The Red Cross have released First Aid Champions which helps parents teach their children about first aid.
The resources have been adapted to use at home and the suggested pathway of using the First Aid Champions work is here: https://firstaidchampions.redcross.org.uk/primary/guidance-and-support/home-learning-pathway/
Please read this guide first, as it will allow you to decide if it is suitable for your child. It is designed for 5-11 year olds, but you may only wish to look at some aspects.
Today the children in school marked the 75th Anniversary of VE Day. We wore red, white and blue and did VE Day crafts, including making toilet roll aeroplanes! In the afternoon we had a mini cream tea, waved our Union Jacks and planted a Victoria plum tree to mark the occasion.

It can be a struggle once school work is completed each day to find lots of different activities to focus on!
Here is a link to the National Geographic Home Is Good website, which includes some interesting and exciting craft, science and research activities for adults and children to do together.
Here are some pictures of some of the brilliant things you’ve all been up to at home. Keep the good work going!
