We feel that children work best when they have a routine. The Education Endowment Foundation have released a document which might help you plan your day for your child – this will help them keep mentally active, with goals to work towards.
You could print this or even use it as inspiration to create your own!
Please find attached a lovely e-book which may help you talk to you children about Coronavirus. It is beautifully presented and very informative – the illustrations are by the famous and brilliant Axel Scheffler.
As a school, we subscribe to a fantastic learning resource called espresso. It is an online library of videos, activities, ideas and news all for pupils and teachers to use to enhance their learning.
Pupils have home access to espresso via the username and password provided previously.
We would recommend that you use espresso as part of your daily home learning routine to watch the ’60 Second News’, News Bites and the Daily Challenge.
As well as that, there are literally thousands of activities available, as well as ‘espresso Coding’, which is accessible to all age groups and guides them through how to programme and code.

Every year the National Association of Teachers of R.E. hold an art competition called Spirited Arts and this year we were going to take part as a school. As we can no longer do that, I am attaching the details of the competition in case anyone would like to create an entry at home. There are a number of themes on which your art could be created. These are judged in different age groups and the winners get themselves an Amazon voucher!
