Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
At Bomere Heath C.E. Primary School, we strive to meet the needs of all pupils.
All staff are aware of SEND within the school and receive high quality information and training. We aim to quickly identify pupils with additional needs and provide targeted interventions and support them. We ensure that parents and carers are fully aware of the SEND process and informed of their child’s learning throughout the year and staff are also always available to talk to parents and carers. Each term we hold a SEND coffee morning for parents and carers to come and network with others, including a range of professionals and other agencies, whilst also finding out about how we support their children.
We are a fully inclusive school and work alongside the Local Authority, Health Professionals and community organisations to find the most appropriate and effective support for pupils within our care.

Shropshire’s Local Offer
From September 2014, local authorities have been obliged to publish a Local Offer, setting out in one place information and provision they expect to be available across education, health and social care for children and young people in their area who have SEN or who are disabled, including those who do not have education, health, and care (EHC) plans.
Shropshire’s Local Offer has lots of information, support and resources for parents/carers of children with SEND including education, EHCPs, health and wellbeing, early help, family support, financial support, transport, things to do and lots more. Take a look at the local offer website on the following link: www.shropshire.gov.uk/the-send-local-offer
