Spellings

It was lovely to chat to so many of you on Monday at parent meetings. Many of you asked how you can help at home. So we have attached the spellings lists from year one up to year six. These are words the children should know at the different age groups. It would be great if you could look at these words with your children. Would be good revision to do the year one and year two words as well as the harder ones.

Ideas to help you practise:

Look cover write check

Mnemonics = for example: because – big elephants can always understand small elephants

Break the word up using different colours

Word searches

Write the words in sentences

All these ways the children have learnt at school.

We will be using these words for future tests, so it will be great practise to pick a few words each week to try and learn.

Thank you

Reverend Hannah visit

Reverend Hannah, (from our local church in Leaton), spent the afternoon with our class. The children had prepared questions to ask her, about her role in the church. It was a great afternoon and we all learnt lots about her vocation and how it supports our big question in RE this half term.
