On Friday 29th April, the Bomere and the XI Towns Young Voices Choir went to Resorts World Arena to perform in the Young Voices Concert 2022.
We had a fabulous day, rehearsing in the afternoon before performing with 113 other schools in the evening concert as the culmination of months of practice. We were especially lucky to be able to perform alongside saxophonist Yolanda Brown (from CBeebies), R&B and soul singer Ruby Turner, world beatbox champions The Beatbox Collective and learn some awesome dance moves from Urban Strides.
We were all very tried by the end of the day but are already looking forward to next year’s concert!
Here are some photos of our day.
We are happy to welcome the pupils of Bomere Heath CE Primary School back for the start of the Summer Term!
There is so much going on this term – Sports Day, trips, a residential to Liverpool, getting the pupils ready to move on to their next class (or secondary school!), clubs, SATs tests, school council meetings…the list goes on!
Please remember that we welcome comments and questions – please see your child’s class teacher or make an appointment via the school office!
Please find attached the overview of the planning for Wrekin Class in Summer Term – please come and ask Mr Field any questions!
This week we have been building bathing machines for Queen Victoria. We know that bathing machines were on the beach for people to get changed in a long time ago. We have also been learning about wheels, axles, axle holders and chassis. A chassis is the bottom of the vehicle that everything fixes onto. The axle hold the wheels in the right place and the axle holder holds the axle. A wheel is like a circle but 3D and they make the bathing machine go forwards and backwards. We had a really good week!

Here are some photos of all our hard work.
To start our celeberations for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee we planted 5 trees as part of The Queen’s Green Canopy.
In the rain Pimhill went out to dig the holes.
The sun shone when represenatives from each class came to plant a tree with Kris our Forest School lead and James Reynolds our govenor.
Lara led us in prayer .
In the afternoon Pimhill finished the planting and watered the trees.
Thank you to Albrighton Estate who donated our trees.
Thank you to all the parents, staff and children who supported us for Ukraine Day!
Everyone looked amazing wearing yellow and blue.
We were visited by Marianna and her friend Oksana. We learnt about their charity work and how they are supporting those from Ukraine.
We also learnt a few words in Ukrainian.
Thank you for your donation, we had a great day.
Thank you so much for all the kind donations we have received in school.
The children have been making sunflowers and sending their thoughts and prayers to the people of Ukraine.
Mariana, who visited the children with Oxanna in school this week will be collecting today. Oxanna will then drive all our goodies across Europe to where they are most in need.
Thank you once again for all your support and kind donations.

Thank you to the girls who represented the school at Leaton church today for Mothering Sunday. They all wrote their own poems and prayers and shared them at the front of the church. It was a beautiful service with involvement in the sermon from the children also.
