Diabetes Fundraiser
Thankyou for your support with our Diabetes Awareness fundraising day on Wednesday. We raised £93.50 which will now be donated to the Charity.
Mental Health and Wellbeing
Did you know Bomere and the XI Towns Federation have appointed Mental Health Lead staff? Mr Stuart Field, Mrs Gillian Gulliver and Mrs Laura Viner are now leading the work we do in this area to ensure that positive mental health and wellbeing is being promoted for all pupils and staff.
They are part of the Mental Health Service and Schools Link Project and as such have developed a network of contacts and better understanding and knowledge of local mental health provision.
If you have any questions, please arrange to see Mr Field.

Children in Need Fundraising
The Fun and Games Pupil Council made a decision regarding Children in Need fundraising. We are going to launch our ‘Daily Mile’ initiative on Friday 16 November to coincide with Children in Need. Pupils will all be completing a mile walking (or jogging) around the school grounds that morning so will need to have PE kit and trainers in school (as they should always have). Children are to wear normal school uniform to school but may bring a ‘Pudsey’ scarf/badge/headband/arm-band etc to wear just for the activity if they wish. They will change back into school uniform afterwards. Donations for Children in Need are requested (£1 suggested).
Thank-you for your support – we appreciate we are already holding our Superhero dressing-up day for Diabetes awareness next Wednesday (a parentmail message was sent earlier in the week about this) and hope you will feel you can support both of these charities.

World Diabetes Day
We would like to raise charity funds for World Diabetes Day to raise awareness of this condition. Most of the children in school will be aware that we do have one pupil who has Type 1 diabetes. We hope to increase pupils’ understanding of diabetes and what it is like to live with the condition. Children are invited to dress as a superhero (alternatively they may wear blue clothes) on Wednesday 14 November and bring a donation (£1 is suggested).
