As part of our learning about seasonal changes in Key Stage One, we have been learning about the different animals that are born in Spring. Today we were lucky enough to have a visit from Katie and the lambs from Chloe’s farm.

In Pimhill we have been learning how to print and used this skill to print lines to make pictures in the style of Mondrain.
We have put them on display in the enterance. Everyone has said how good they look.
Following in the footsteps of Darwin
This week we have been following in the footsteps of Darwin and planned and carried out an experiment to investigate which shaped beak was best for picking up bird seed.
Air Ambulance
The air ambulance landed on the school field today. While the paramedics were working the pilot invited us to have a look at the helicopter and answer our questions. It was very interesting and we learned lots about the work of the air ambulance.

Our New Pets – Sheldon and Michelle!
Today Haughmond and Pimhill were very excited to welcome two new members of our school community. Sheldon and Michelle are our new Giant African Land Snails and they will be living with us in our classes, where we will learn lots about them, including how to look after them and take responsibility for living creatures.
Looking for worms at Forest school.
We tried a variety of ways to find worms in different areas of forest school.
We found that digging for them was the best way.
Visit from Imam Sohayb
Today Pimhill and Haughmond were visited by Imam Sohayb from Craven Arms Mosque to help us with our learning in our R.E. topic where our key question is Who is Muslim and How do They Live? He told us lots of information and we asked some excellent questions to help our understanding and compared Islam and Christianity.
The Bomere Beagle – Issue 1
Hi everyone! I am proud to publish my Newshound Club’s first issue of their school newspaper – The Bomere Beagle.
A dedicated group of Year 5 and 6 pupils have been working hard to explore and write news stories about our school. They will publish the newspaper every few weeks throughout the year.
