On Friday 22nd March all the classes took part in World Water Day.
The environmental warriors led a worship about why we need to help save water, followed by a range of activities in class looking at ways to save water at school and at home. Some classes created posters, here is an example of a poster.
O Lord,
How amazing is your love,
A love that overcomes, endures and redeems.
How astounding is your life,
A life that sustains, heals and creates.
How awesome is your hope,
A hope that promises, restores and inspires.
How absorbing is your truth,
A truth that releases, changes and rebuilds.
How we worship you, as we remember the moment when your love conquered.
When out of the cave of sorrow Jesus arose to release forgiveness to the world.
And each time we encounter this resurrection day we are again lifted to an eternal place.
Our sin, brokenness and darkness fall away and your light and peace flood our lives.
How we thank you for this incredible celebration we call Easter.
Amen.
Our Year Five pupils were praised for their impeccable listening, their safety skills and for being great representatives of our school as they completed their Level 3 training this week.
Well done to Jess, Niko, Mustafa, Izzy and Riley: our Stars of the Half Term.
For World Book Day we have watched and listened to MC Grammar, including his World Book Day rap. After listening to his Gruffalo rap, we decided we would like to rap our own Julia Donaldson book, as she is our author of the half term. We were very excited on Friday morning to discover that MC Grammar himself had seen and commented on our video!
Please use the below link to watch our rap. We worked really hard on the words and rhythm and hope you enjoy our creation!

Our basketball team came 3rd in a strong field of local teams in the Corbet School tournament this week. Well done!
Here are our certificate winners this week:
Yesterday we were proud to welcome a film crew from the Lichfield Diocese, alongside Leaton Church, as part of our work on becoming dementia friendly as a school.
Mrs. Roberts and Mrs Gregory toured the school with Mr. Clive Rogers to create a film which will support schools and churches in making their environments as dementia friendly as possible. Clive identified some positives about our school, along with some ways we can continue to improve what we already do and provide.
