Well done to our Stars of the Half Term, who have been showing our school values, including Love, Hope and Respect!
Our Girls’ football team this week placed second out of nine teams at the Corbet Girls’ Football Tournament – we were so pleased for them! Mr Lack, who has taken many teams to sporting events this year, reported that superb teamwork and great attitude propelled the team to the second placed finish.
This week the children in Years 5 and 6 went to the church at Ruyton XI Towns to ‘Experience Easter’! They learned about the events of Easter Week, sang hymns and discussed their hopes for the future.
We would like to thank Reverend Hannah, Reverend Lucinda and all of the church volunteers for their hard work and commitment to teaching the pupils about Easter and making them feel welcome at church.
Annabelle Trow recently won the Y5/6 Girls Race at Clive School – well done Annabelle!
Well done to the Basketball Team who came 3rd in this week’s local school’s competition at The Corbet, Baschurch.
Mr Lack, who accompanied the team, said that thy played with a fantastic attitude, amazing teamwork and they showed our school values throughout!
Well done to the Cross Country Team who recently visited The Corbet School to run in the annual Schools’ Cross Country Event.
Boys and Girls Teams from Years 3-6 participated in the event, which sees competitors’ scores amalgamated to award a team score. Year 3 Girls came 2nd overall in their event, Year 3 Boys came 3rd and Year 6 Boys came 4th. A stunning individual success from Annabelle Trow saw her win the Year 6 Girls individual event, finishing well ahead of the rest of the field.
