Harry Potter virtual lesson
This morning, Grinshill, Stiperstones and Wrekin took part in a virtual lesson from Warner Brothers Studio London. The lesson was led by ‘Evanna Lynch’ also known as Luna Lovegood.
It was a creative lesson all about describing our own magical settings.
Ask your children to tell you all about this lesson.
Bikeability Level 3

Well done to our amazing Year Six pupils as they receive their Level Three pass certificates and badges!
Super Certificates
Here are the Maths, Presentation, Writing and Star of the Week certificate winners for this week!

Visit to Aston Hall
Yesterday we went to visit Aston Hall in Birmingham as part of our History topic about The Great Fire of London. We had a super day, learning all about the events of the fire. We looked at rooms in the style of those in Thomas Farriner’s bakery and Samuel Pepys’ house and exploring some artefacts that are similar to those that would have been used to try and extinguish the fire back in 1666.

Competition Success!
We are delighted to announce that some of the children from After School Club recently entered an art competition to design their perfect pet, their artwork has been chosen, and will be published in a book ‘Perfect Pets.’ The children will have a certificate presented to them in our achievement assembly on Friday. The book will be on-sale in December.
Well done to Ellis and Lara in Wrekin Class!
Ellis said, “I am very proud that my picture was chosen!”
Lara said, “I feel excited because it is going to be in a book that so many people can see!”

Weaving in Stiperstones
Today we have started our weaving project!
Lots of fun had by all!

Rocks in Grinshill
Over the last few weeks we have been learning about the properties of rocks, the three main rock groups (Sedimentary, Igneous and Metamorphic) and where they come from. This week, the children have been using chocolate to make comparisons to the different rock types and how the rocks are formed on our planet.
Of course they all loved tasting the rocks too 🙂
