Homework 20.11.20

This week please could you spend some time on Times Tables Rockstars and Reading Eggs. Try and spend a bit of time on each one a few times over the week.

Also, please could you read with your grown up at home. It’s important to be remembering to do this as often as you can and writing in your reading record. If you don’t know where your reading record is then let me know on Monday and I will get you a new one.

Homework 13th November 2020

Well done for all you fantastic poppies! I have put them up in the classroom this afternoon and they look fab!

This week you have got some Maths and English activities on Education City to complete. They are all linked to some of the learning we have been doing in class this week.

Homework 6.11.2020

Tuesday next week is Remembrance Day. For your homework this week I would like you to create a poppy so that we can create a class display. It is up to you how you would like your poppy to look along with what you choose to make it out of.

When you bring them into school we will put them to one side for a couple of days before we make our final display.

Homework 9th October 2020

This week I would like you to complete some tasks on Reading Eggs. This is set to be personal to you, so what you do may be different to what someone else has done. It will automatically take you to the right level for you. There are some Reading Comprehension tasks if you have finished the pre-set levels. Reading Eggs is a good one for you to be having a go at every week.

As well as this, please continue to have a go at Times Tables Rockstars. This year Year Two we are going to really focus on the 2, 5 and 10 times tables and get them known forwards, backwards and upside down!

Homework 2nd October

This week I would like you to have a go at Times Tables Rockstars. Explore the site and try out some of the times tables. This year we are really going to look at our two, five and ten times tables.

If you can’t log on, let me know on Monday and I will sort it out for you.

Homework 18th September 2020

This week I would like you to recap nouns again, firstly using the video of Leroy that we used yesterday – https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zrqqtfr/articles/zpd8ng8

Then can you write a list of common and proper nouns? Look for things in your house that you could use. For an extra challenge, see if you can find a noun for every letter of the alphabet!

Thursday 16th July 2020

Good morning for the last time this year!

I hope you have all had a good week so far.

I just want to tell you all now how proud I am of each and every one of you this year. You all worked so hard when we were together in class and I have been so impressed with the way you have continued with your home learning.

Today I am setting your English and Maths as normal, but I know that if we were all together in school today we would be doing lots of fun activities with our friends before we break up for summer, so I would like you to enjoy yourselves too.

English

Please carry on with the weekly tasks you have been given.

Year One, you are comparing time.

So, thank you all for making this strange year as enjoyable as it could be! You are all fab.

Year Two, good luck next year. I will miss you all, but I know you are going to have a brilliant time. Year One, I can’t wait to see you all back in September.

I think that leaves me with just enough time for a quick pork pie and a Starbucks!

Have a good summer,

Mrs G x
