Very well done to the certificate winners this week
Today we have been using the work of L.S. Lowry to explore how to create perspective in our sketches. We worked hard to include some of the typical features seen in Lowry’s work, including terraced streets and factories.
Here are some of our sketches.
In English Haughmond are learning about Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. We have read about Oberon sending Puck to fetch a magical flower so that he can play a trick on Titania! We have created our own magical flowers, and next week will be writing about their powers!
In Haughmond we have finished our week by decorating glass jars, taking inspiration from the Murano glass of Italy. We think our jars will look lovely with a candle inside to light them up!
Haughmond have had a brilliant day learning about Italian art. We have painted our own versions of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel underneath our tables and then used inspiration from Ancient Rome to create mosaic pictures.
A big well done to the Stars of the Week!
Look out for some exciting changes to the certificates after half term!
