Today we have celebrated Roald Dahl Day in school and everybody has dressed as a character – Mr Lack even came as Dahl himself!
We hope that all the children have been inspired to read a write stories using their amazing imaginations!
Welcome to the academic year 2024/2025 in Stiperstones class.
I have included a weekly timetable and a curriculum overview for this term. Hopefully you will find this useful. More details about each subject can be found in the knowledge organisers in the information section.

Well done to the stars of the half term!
Here are our certificate winners this week: Star of the Week, Worker of the Week and Values Award.
On Thursday we were proud to host the North Shropshire Schools Area Sports. We invited seven schools to compete against each other in athletics events for Years 4-6. The morning was a huge success with around 150 pupils taking part.
The eagerly awaited Relay events were won by Bomere Heath (girls) and Myddle (boys).
We look forward to our own Sports Day next Thursday (11th July) and Area Sports next year.
We are incredibly proud to announce that we have been awarded The International Eco Schools Certificate with distinction!
Mrs Quigley and her Eco council have been working tirelessly to improve the eco-friendly aspects of the school. They have made lots of changes, given everyone information and have recently completed a very stringent evaluation process to achieve this amazing award.
If any parents and carers have a specific interest in this area and would be interested in helping out, please have a chat with Mrs Quigley.
We have been learning all about the General Election and the British Value of Democracy. We looked at the key points of the different manifestos, then held our own General Elections following the same process as the real one. We linked our learning to maths, through the use of statistics and also considered what we might do if we were Prime Minister. In each class, the Green Party got the most votes, although it was closer in some than others!
