Welcome to Grinshill Class!
Grinshill Class is home to our brilliant Year 3 and Year 4 pupils. Please check out the links below to find out what we are learning this term, including a timetable.
Miss Lloyd- Jones teaches Monday, Thursday and Friday and Mrs Pearce teaches Tuesday and Wednesday. Class teaching assistants are Ms Dean (Monday-Thursday) and Mrs Whittaker.
Spring Term 2026 – Quick reminders:
Homework is normally set on a Friday, to be handed in the following Wednesday.
As part of the weekly homework, please can all Year 3 and Year 4 children practice their relevant times tables on the times table website (link at the bottom of the page). The ‘speed test’ feature is particularly good for increasing speed and recall of facts, to help with our weekly tests and in preparation for the national Multiplication Tables check in Year 4.
Spellings will normally be set on a Wednesday and sent home the same day, to be learnt throughout the week. Please try to practice your spellings every night. Spelling tests will normally be on the Wednesday morning following the week they are set.
PE is on a Monday and Friday this term (children to wear PE Kit to school on these days please). Children will need a water bottle, long hair needs to be tied up and if your child wears earrings these either need removing the night before, or they need to be taped up, children can do this in school (parents please provide micropore tape or plasters).
We encourage children to be as independent in Grinshill Class as possible. However, we really appreciate your support in reminding them to check the right things are in school at the right time, and also any support you can give them with their daily reading/ spellings and homework.
