UKS2 – Why do some people believe in God and some people not
We will be conducting our new School Council elections next week! Therefore we are asking children to complete their applications for School Council posts for their homework this week. There will be one representative per year group on each council from Years 1-6.
The School Councils have slightly changed (we will talk to the children about this in Worship):
All children should write their School Council application for the one council they wish to represent. On Wednesday and Thursday next week children will read their applications to their peers and then a vote will take place to decide democratically the representative for their year group.
If you have any questions, please see your child’s Class Teacher!

Kind regards,
Dear Friends,
Around one in four social media users watch other people’s content in real time on those same platforms What’s more, Ofcom estimates that 58% of children in the UK have consumed video content this way – with many also creating and broadcasting their own material online
Live streaming, as it’s known, has become immensely popular – with some streamers drawing tens of millions of followers. Among those viewers, however, lurk individuals who may pose a threat. This #WakeUpWednesday, find out how you can help to protect young live streamers.

Welcome back to a new school year, I hope you have had a wonderful holiday and look forward to hearing all about it on Tuesday!
We have so many exciting things to look forward to in Stiperstones class this term including a trip to Tatton Park in October, to learn more about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. I have attached an overview of the work we will be covering this term and also a weekly timetable (subject to change) to give you an idea of what we will be doing doing each day.
Knowledge organisers for each subject will be added to the class information page, which you will be able to access throughout the school term.
PE days are Tuesday and Thursday
Homework will be given out on Fridays and to be returned by the following Wednesday. Homework will include: daily reading, times tables, spellings (more details on how we do spellings will follow) , and another task usually linked to what has been taught that week.
Any questions please feel free to chat to me at the gate or leave a message for myself at the school office and I will get back to you.
Thank you
Mrs Quigley

Arts week!
Our theme is ‘All things British’ with our main focus of ‘Afternoon Tea’
We designed and painted our own cups and saucers.
We made doylies and flower paper chains.
We sketched beautiful flowers and cupcakes.
We have had so much arty fun. Tomorrow we are collaging!
In Art this half term we are learning about the collage artist Pete Cromer. Today we practised drawing birds in his style. Here are some of our drawings.
