We are very excited in KS1 as we have casted our nativity.
Please check children’s bags to know their role in the nativity and if they have words they will be in their bags too!
If you have any costumes you would like to donate from previous years please hand to a member of the KS1 team.
Happy half term from all of Haughmond class. We have had a lovely first half term and looking forward to all our new exciting topics after half term and of course our nativity!
Thankyou to all those who came yesterday to the parents afternoon/evening it was lovely to speak to you all.
Have a safe half term and have a great Halloween

Miss Reese 🙂
Haughmond had a very special visitor in today who created the whole scene of the Great fire of London and showed us what happened way back in 1666. All children had a great time and learnt lots of facts! We also taught Mr Pepys about all our new technology and recent events that have happened after the Great fire of London.

We have completed our speeches, voting, counting and finally we can reveal the new Student Council representatives for this academic year!

Hello Haughmond Class, we hope you have had a brilliant summer and that you are ready and raring to come back to school. We have lots of exciting things to look forward to this term!
Our topic this term is ‘Fire Fire’. Click on the link below to find out about all the things we will be learning about this term.
Here is our timetable for the Autumn term. We will have PE on Tuesdays and Fridays so please come to school in PE kit on those days. If your child wears earrings, please take them out, or cover them, on these days and make sure hair is tied up.

A few reminders; please ensure all school uniform, coats and bags are labelled clearly with your child’s name. Water bottles need to be brought to school each day, also with a name on please. No toys are to be brought into school.
If you have any queries, questions or worries please feel free to catch us on the gate or email us to arrange a chat.
Please find the knowledge organisers for subjects this term below. The knowledge organisers will tell you what the children will be learning and some key vocabulary they will encounter this term. I hope you find these helpful, please let us know if there is anything you would like to discuss.
Miss Reese and Mrs Pearce
Haughmond have been very excited this week as we have been artistic creating lots of Mexican art. We learnt about Mexico on Monday and compared it to where we live. We have been listening to a variety of Mexican music too !
On Monday we used clay to create some Mexican themed pots which we will paint today. We also made our own day of the dead inspired masks.
On Tuesday have started our class Mexican flag made out of tissue paper using the skill of collaging. In the afternoon we looked at the traditional Mexican folk art looking at the sun and moon art. We used the skill sketching first to get and outline. Then we practised our watercolour painting skills to carefully paint out pictures.
Today we are looking forward to painting our Mexican clay pots, learning the Mexican hat dance and carrying on with out tissue paper flag.
Below are some of the exciting things we have been up too this week !
