Grinshill Class Snow Update for Friday 9th January

Due to the heavy snowfall and for the safety of our students and staff, the school will be closed Friday 9th January. While we are shut and over the weekend, please can we ask children in Grinshill class to continue to read at home, recording this in their yellow reading records. Please can we also ask you to spend some time practicing the spellings given by Mrs Pearce and please can children access times tables practice on Timestables.co.uk (click on link below).

However, since we don’t get snow days very often, we hope you also take the time to wrap up warm and enjoy the snow!

On Monday, please could children bring in wellies ready to play on the field if the playground is too icy.

Thank you and enjoy the snow!

Welcome Back – Happy New Year 2026

We hope you have all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas break. It’s a very chilly start to the New Year, and we are closely monitoring the weather. We will keep you updated with any changes that may affect you and your child.

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at 8:40am. Please ensure your child comes to school wearing a sensible, warm coat, and consider adding gloves and a hat for playtime, as it is very cold outside.

Tomorrow is PE day for some classes (Haughmond), so please dress appropriately for the weather. Leggings or joggers may be needed for outdoor activities. Remember to stick to school colours and plain clothing with no logos, except for the Bomere Heath logo.

Rest of school in full uniform.

To enjoy the winter weather please bring wellies to go on the field, but bring school shoes to change into.

All staff are excited to welcome pupils back and begin a fantastic new year of learning and opportunities together!

VE Day Celebrations!

Thank you for joining us for the 80th Anniversary of VE Day celebrations on Thursday! It was lovely to see so many of you at school enjoying a picnic with the children and staff. We would like to say a huge thanks to Ro and Rachel for preparing an amazing picnic too (they made over 170 packed lunches, made plenty of cakes and scones before serving everyone all lunch time!)
