Well done to Jess, Niko, Mustafa, Izzy and Riley: our Stars of the Half Term.
Our basketball team came 3rd in a strong field of local teams in the Corbet School tournament this week. Well done!
Here are our certificate winners this week:
We had a fantastic day in Chester on Monday. The children were met off the coaches by two Roman soldiers. They then trained us in how to be soldiers in the Roman Army, learning formations and strategies to attack their enemies. They also taught us some training chants that we sang in Latin as we marched through the streets of Chester.
We learnt about what Chester looked like as a Roman settlement and looked at the ancient Roman walls that are still in place today.
The children had the opportunity to explore two of the museums to see genuine artefacts and also to attempt some of the challenges, such as building arches.
We are very proud to announce our Stars of the Half Term!
A big well done for their hard work and brilliance to Noah, Jack, Andre, Max and Francine.
We have been learning lots of amazing things this week across the school.
Pimhill have been learning about space and in Haughmond Mrs Gregory has been so pleased with the children’s writing! Grinshill, Stiperstones and Wrekin had a brilliant Art Day on Monday as they did printing and learned about Andy Warhol!

Today, our Year 5 and 6 pupils were visited by Katie, a local PCSO, who talked to them about ways to keep safe online and in the community.
Katie outlined the legal responsibilities children have when using social media, exploitation and county lines.
Please chat to your children about what they have discussed.
The pupils listened very well indeed, and they asked some splendid questions.
Well done to the Stars of the Week!
