Pupil work – Keeping yourselves safe online!
Here is some very important work to do this week!
We are really keen that all pupils remain safe online – we are aware that some may be using their devices more than usual to do homework and keeping in touch with friends and family.
Here are some links to guide children and parents and carers in staying safe online:
What do you need to do if you need to report something?
- Use the NSPCC Website https://www.childline.org.uk/ or call 0800 11 11
- or send an email into school admin@bomereheath.shropshire.sch.uk
Fun activities!
Thank you for completing the work set by your teachers – we recognise that it is also great to keep busy with other activities. Hopefully the following activities are useful during the next week:
- Garden Scavenger Hunt
- Weather Diary
- Make a picture or write a letter for someone who is lonely
- Make a bird feeder – C-Beebies
- Design your own Super-Hero
- Rock art – paint a rock or make a sculpture using rocks – take a photo and send it in!
- Make your own comic strip
- If you own a bike, learn how to maintain it (with parent/carer permission and supervision) or clean it carefully! Halfords – Clean a bike Halfords – How to maintain a bike
- Learn to tie your laces
- Learn your address, phone number and parents’ phone number (in case of an emergency)
Easter Cards
Today at school we made Easter cards as part of our learning activities.

Rainbows of Hope
Today the children in school have been painting rainbows to display in the hall windows as a symbol of hope (one of our school values) for everyone in our community.

Free Audiobooks!
Whilst school is closed, Audible are offering children the chance to listen to some FREE books! There is a wide range available at https://stories.audible.com/start-listen
Listen to the stories with your child, ask them questions about the character or plot (to check they are listening carefully!) and, most of all, enjoy them!
Pupil Work – School Closure
Please find the necessary links for access to work for our pupils:

In addition, we also recommend the following websites:

In addition to the work provided above, there are some resources available to supplement any work from school:
Classroom Secrets have produced some worksheets designed to keep pupils busy during any school closures. They are designed to be printed off, but they may also be used ‘on-screen’ with pupils writing their answers in their exercise books and parents checking them using the answers provided! There is a link on this page to each year group with plenty of work to do! No password is required.
Twinkl is offering every teacher in United Kingdom access to all Twinkl resources with a One Month Ultimate Membership, totally free of charge. They are also extending this to every parent and carer in the school so the pupils can still have access to high-quality learning during any periods of disruption.
Setting this up is really easy to do – go to www.twinkl.co.uk/offer and enter the code UKTWINKLHELPS
